§ 10.06.1. Budget amendment prior to certification of tax levy.

Upon the recommendation of the mayor, the council, by resolution adopted by unanimous vote of all of its members following a public hearing held for that purpose at a time and place announced in advance, may amend the budgets subsequent to their adoption and may certify the appropriate tax levy to the county auditor as provided in Section 11.04 of this Charter or other applicable law; provided, however, that the council may not reduce the appropriations for debt service or for meeting any existing obligations of the city.
