§ 38.02. Permits.

(a)

Permits required. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to install, relocate, alter, repair or replace any elevator, hoist, lift or moving stairway or part thereof shall first obtain a permit for so doing from the division of housing and building code enforcement.

(b)

Permits not required. Permits will not be required for such maintenance work as lubrication, cleaning and adjusting of equipment or for the replacement of worn or broken parts which are normally replaced by an elevator service representative on his regular service time.

(c)

Fees. Fees for permits shall be as provided in section 33.04(H)(4).
