§ 47.01. Permit required.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to move any building or structure on, over or across the streets of the City of Saint Paul or from one (1) location to another on private property unless said person, firm or corporation is duly licensed so to do by the State of Minnesota, and unless said licensee shall have obtained a permit for each individual moving operation according to the provisions of this chapter.

    (b)

    This chapter shall apply to any contractor's office buildings and sheds larger than twelve (12) feet high, fourteen (14) feet wide, and twenty-five (25) feet long which will be in location for more than one (1) year; and shall apply to any other house, building or structure or part thereof larger than eight (8) feet high, ten (10) feet wide, and fifteen (15) feet long, but shall not apply to other structures.

    (c)

    In any case where an applicant for a permit shall not be subject to the state licensing procedure, the applicant shall comply with the insurance and bond requirements of section 47.08, in addition to all other requirements of this chapter.
