Whenever any city, governmental subdivision or private corporation located outside
of the limits of the City of Saint Paul desires the city to furnish fire protection,
the applicant shall make written application therefor to the City of Saint Paul, department
of fire and safety services, specifying the corporate area or the nature and extent
of the property for which such fire protection is to be furnished, and in the case
of private corporations, furnishing a legal description of the real estate upon which
the building and personal property to be protected are located, together in all cases
with a statement of the total assessed valuation of said real estate and personal
property or of property included in said corporate area as shown in the records of
the county auditor or department of property taxation as of the date of application,
said statements, to be furnished annually thereafter.
